The Illusion of a Self

The Illusion of a Self

We are taught that the self is some sort of constructed home, yet we exist energetically everywhere.

We believe the self is a place, something to come and go within.

Yet we are everywhere, and in everything.

To the point that we are petrified by the notion of losing a self, all the while - selflessness being our highest, natural state of consciousness.

Not a supernatural state - but a state, being nature, already super.

Constantly looking for a somewhere, when we are already everywhere, and in everything.

And in this self-created frustration and indignation, we set out on endless journeys to discover a self - when all that we are has always existed everywhere.

There are no mountains to climb, or seas to sail to find a self, for the self is nowhere to discover.

We are everything, everywhere, and everything is us, everywhere.

All of it is one.

So often, we try to hold on.

- In life, to a self, to everything.

Just breath, and let go.

Attachment is anything we hold on to.

Often the first, is our breathe.

Second, is the idea or belief that we exist in the self, rather than in the everything that is within a breathe.

In the immortal words of Deepak Chopra, are the words that forever change - release the struggle.

Just let go.

Stand in a quiet room for five minutes.

For every time a breathe is released . Try to catch it.

It’s all rather pointless, isn’t it.

After awhile, we discover the entire point is to just let it come and go.

This is the way of life:

Embrace not the moments that are breathless, nor even the breathe.

Whatever you are holding on to - just breathe and allow life to flow through.
